Who handles import taxes, customs, VAT, and duties?+
USA Customers
All prices shown on the website already include import duties and customs-related fees.
We handle the required import documentation and customs clearance process for USA shipments, including the applicable import duty-related fees required from our side, meaning there are no standard surprise import charges on delivery.
However, if any additional fees, inspections, brokerage charges, storage fees, licensing requirements, business-related import costs, or other charges are incurred due to your business, delivery requirements, customs review, or country-specific regulations, these will remain the responsibility of the buyer.
European Customs Duties
For some European shipments, there may be opportunities to reduce certain customs duties under trade agreements between Japan and the European Union.
Please note that VAT and local taxes cannot be reduced to 0 and will still apply where required by your country.
We always provide the required import and customs documentation with shipments. However, duty reductions are not guaranteed, as final decisions are made by the customs authority or customs officer processing the shipment.
In many cases, individual buyers are not eligible for reduced duty treatment, while registered businesses or importers may qualify depending on local regulations and import status.

Many suppliers incorrectly declare trading card products, which can sometimes result in unnecessary delays, inspections, or additional fees at the border.
💡 Helpful Import Tips
- We do our best to help reduce unnecessary import costs where possible.
- It is your responsibility to understand your own country’s import rules and regulations before placing an order.
- If your country has a tax threshold, splitting larger orders into separate shipments may help you manage costs.
- If you are purchasing for a business, some import taxes or duties may be claimable as business expenses or tax deductions. Please speak with your accountant or tax advisor for professional advice.
Why do I have to pay import costs? +
Import duties, taxes, customs fees, and VAT are government charges applied when goods enter certain countries. These charges are set by your local customs authority — not by us.
Because our products are shipped internationally from Japan, some countries may apply import-related fees depending on the order value, product category, and your local regulations.
Most international wholesalers and suppliers operate the same way, with the buyer responsible for any customs or import-related charges upon arrival.
We always provide the required shipping and customs documentation to help ensure your order moves through customs as smoothly as possible.
Even with import costs, many stores still choose Japanese TCG products because the demand, product turnover, and resale margins remain very strong in both online and physical retail environments.
If you are unsure about your country’s import fees, we recommend checking with your local customs authority or courier provider before placing an order.
Why are your prices higher than Japanese MSRP? +
Japanese MSRP is not the true landed cost for most international stores.
In Japan, TCG products are heavily allocation-based and often require local business relationships or licenses to access directly. Even stores with distributor access typically receive very small quantities of high-demand products.
Even for the general consumer, they are limited to 1 box online/in-store per person which makes it very hard to scale as a business when you can't get higher allocations.
Because of this, many international stores source through established B2B wholesalers like us to secure reliable inventory, larger quantities, and consistent restocks.
Our pricing is designed to remain below current market pricing while still allowing stores to maintain healthy profit margins and faster inventory turnover.
By working with us, stores gain access to reliable stock availability, large-scale quantities, Australian-based support, and access to highly demanded Japanese TCG products without needing Japanese distributor relationships.
Many of our partnered stores successfully use our products to generate strong online and in-store sales while avoiding the risks and limitations of traditional allocation systems.
This seems sketchy, why should I trust you? +
We understand that international wholesale can feel unfamiliar at first — especially when dealing with Japanese TCG products, sourcing, and overseas logistics.
TCG Wholesale HQ is a fully registered Australian business (registered as GG Collectibles & Trading) based in Perth, Western Australia. Our business credentials and company information are publicly available online. You can also find our ABN (Australian Business Number) at the bottom of our website to verify we are a legitimate busiess.
We have been operating in the TCG space for over 2 years and work with many stores and clients across Australia and internationally.
Unlike many suppliers, we are transparent about how the Japanese TCG market actually works, including allocations, import costs, shipping methods, and stock availability.
We also operate alongside our Shopify application, TCG Importer, which helps stores bulk import products, automate SEO, and scale their TCG businesses.
Our focus is building long-term relationships with stores, not just making one-off sales. Many of our customers continue ordering because they see strong product turnover, reliable stock access, and consistent support from our team.
If you are still unsure or skeptical, we completely understand. You are welcome to join our Discord community, speak with us directly, ask questions, and see how we operate.
At the end of the day, all we can really say is give us a shot — we are confident you will quickly see why so many stores continue working with us.
Is selling TCG products profitable?+
Yes, selling TCG products can be profitable when you understand sourcing, pricing, demand, and stock movement.
Trading card games like Pokémon and One Piece work well because customers constantly come back for new sets, sealed products, chase cards, collections, and restocks. It is not a one-time product category — it has repeat buyers and regular release cycles.
The key is buying at the right price, choosing products with demand, and treating it like a real business instead of guessing.
If it’s so easy, why doesn’t everyone do it?+
Because the hard part is not just selling the product — it is sourcing correctly, pricing correctly, managing cash flow, understanding demand, and staying consistent.
Many people see TCG products sell fast and think it is easy, but they get stuck when they cannot access stock, overpay for products, price incorrectly, or fail to build trust with customers.
The sellers who succeed usually treat it like a proper business and focus on long-term growth.
I haven’t made an order before. Where do I start?+
Start by creating an account and applying for wholesale access. Once approved, you can browse available stock and place your first order through the website.
If this is your first order, we recommend starting small so you can understand the payment, shipping, and fulfilment process before scaling up.
You are also welcome to join our community and ask questions before ordering.
I don’t have Wise or PayPal. Why do you use these payment methods?+
We use Wise and PayPal because they process payments quickly, which is important in the TCG market.
TCG product prices can change daily due to supply, demand, and exchange rates. Shopify payments do not always process instantly, so we cannot send products out until payment has been received and confirmed.
Wise and PayPal allow us to confirm payment quickly, secure your order, and move your stock through fulfilment faster.
Do you allow dropshipping?+
Yes, we allow dropshipping.
Please keep in mind that shipping single products internationally can be costly. We recommend adding part of the shipping cost into your final product price and the other part into your shipping rate so the cost feels more reasonable to your customer.
Most sellers do not dropship forever. Once they see how quickly TCG products can move, they usually start buying their own stock and holding inventory.
I’m nervous about sending money online. Is that normal?+
Yes, that is completely normal. Almost everyone feels nervous the first time they place an order with a new supplier.
You are welcome to join our Discord community and ask us or our members any questions before ordering. We have been doing this for a long time, and our reputation has been built on trust, transparency, and good service.
We want you to feel confident before placing your first order.
Is Japanese Pokémon and One Piece worth selling?+
Yes. Japanese Pokémon and One Piece products can be excellent products to sell, especially for smaller stores and online sellers.
In many cases, Japanese TCG products can be more profitable than English products because they are often cheaper to source and easier to access. English stock is great, but it can be much harder and more competitive for smaller stores to secure consistent supply.
Japanese sealed products are popular with collectors, streamers, breakers, and resellers worldwide.
Why are your prices changing all the time?+
TCG prices move because the market changes constantly. Products can rise or fall depending on supply, demand, popularity, release timing, and availability.
TCG products can behave a bit like a market, where pricing changes as demand changes.
We also factor exchange rates into the website so prices can display in your local currency. Exchange rates change throughout the day, which can also affect displayed prices.
If I place an order and the price goes down, can I get compensated?+
If you have not paid yet, you can cancel your order and place a new order at the updated price.
However, once payment has been made, we cannot refund or compensate you if prices change afterwards. Once an order is paid, the order is locked and those products are allocated to you.
My order got cancelled. Why?+
Orders must be paid within 30 minutes because prices can change quickly.
You have a 30-minute grace period to send payment. If payment is not received in that time, the order may be cancelled and the stock released back to the website.
This is why we use Wise and PayPal, as they allow faster payment confirmation.
This is my first time using Wise and the funds haven’t arrived yet. What should I do?+
If it is your first time ever using Wise, your first transfer can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
We recommend sending yourself a small test payment, such as $1, before placing a real order. This helps Wise verify the transfer process so future payments are more likely to be instant.
I lost my Wise payment link. Where did it go?+
You should receive your Wise payment link by email after placing your order.
If you cannot find it, check your spam or junk folder first. If you still cannot locate it, reach out to a team member and we can help resend or locate the payment details.
Do we get tracking with our shipment?+
Yes. All shipments include tracking.
If you are dropshipping, we recommend using your own mobile number and email address where possible, so you can send tracking through your Shopify or ecommerce website and keep the experience looking like it comes directly from your business.
How long does shipping take?+
Shipping times vary depending on your country, courier, and whether you are in a major city or regional area.
- Main cities are usually around 2–4 business days.
- DHL is usually faster for international shipments outside the US and Canada.
- FedEx is commonly used for the US and Canada.
Shipping times are not guaranteed. Once a shipment leaves our warehouse, timing is in the courier’s hands.
Please plan ahead during festive seasons and major holidays, as shipping can take longer.
Can I pre-order Pokémon and One Piece booster boxes?+
Yes. We offer pre-orders for Pokémon and One Piece products when available.
When you place a pre-order, you lock in that price. Payment is required upfront, and we do not hold pre-orders without payment.
Can I sell TCG products on Shopify?+
Yes. Shopify is one of the best platforms for selling TCG products because you can build your own brand, control your pricing, collect customer data, run ads, and scale beyond marketplaces.
TCG Wholesale HQ helps with sourcing, while TCG Importer can help Shopify stores create and manage better product listings faster.
Do I need to use TCG Importer to buy from TCG Wholesale HQ?+
No. You do not need to use TCG Importer to buy from TCG Wholesale HQ.
They work well together because TCG Wholesale HQ helps you source stock, while TCG Importer helps Shopify sellers upload and manage TCG products faster. But you are welcome to use one, both, or neither and still be part of the community.
